The story of the group, which employs approximately 60 thousand people today, begins when Turgut Aydın came to Istanbul in 1958 at the age of 15 and started his business life. The corporate identity formed with the Dömeks company, which was established in 1976, is strengthened with the establishment of Aydın Örme and became one of the leading textile companies in Turkey in 1991 and played a leading role in the production of lace and underwear.

The success further expanded to different industries such as establishment of Memorial Health Group in 2000, which brings International Quality Standards in the health sector to Turkey. Then, English Home, a home textile retailer with 3 stores, and A101 discount markets, with 300 stores at that time, joined the company group. Today, widely available English Home stores located across the country and abroad offer wide range of products for homes. A101 markets, the first retail discount store which operates in 81 in Turkey has more than ten thousand stores.

The holding also operates in the healthcare, retail, textile, real estate, quick service restaurants and international shipping sectors with more than 12 successful companies.
